"The Journey:" So much comes to mind when I think about this beautiful comet, even some insights about life. I am amazed at the fact that, even as bright as it appears, it does not emit its own light, but rather reflects light from the sun. This makes me think if we could all just share a bit of our own light or even "borrowed" light from another source, the world would be a much better place. I also think about the fact that this comet is moving at an incredible speed, although it appears to be moving slowly from our distance and perspective, and actually so much in life occurs beyond what we are personally able to perceive; we cannot always know what it is like in another person's shoes. Then I think about how this comet is on a journey, much like each of us. And in the end, we are all just passing through on a journey that is full of unknowns. I hope yours is a good one.
Backstory on the image: I saw that the skies were partly cloudy, but headed out anyway to see if I could see Comet Neowise. I'm so glad I did. I had the benefit of the moon lighting the landscape as the clouds put on a pre-sunrise color display, and the comet could still be seen between them in Prescott, AZ.
