I had been reading about the comet and thinking about shooting it when a friend sent me a picture of it made by a photographer friend of hers. He has some of the same interests I do and she asked him to give me a call. He did, and urged me to give it a try. I thought it might be visible from a gravel road about half a mile from our house, and it was! I'm so glad he gave me a push because I might have let the opportunity escape.
