A breathtakingly beautiful C 2000 NEOWISE comet. It is not a "great" comet in the same sense as Hyakutake or Hale-Bopp but absolutely a naked eye object and stunning in its own right in the pre-dawn sky through binoculars. The challenge is the very low elevation requiring no morning layer and a rapid sunrise right as altitude is increasing. The wind helped clear off the sky but presented its of challenges during strong gusts. A gorgeous morning sky, Jupiter and Saturn setting in the southwest, a waning Moon, Mars and Venus all lined up along the ecliptic. A splendid scenary for a comet that will not be forgotten.

Canon 500D zoom at 300, 100, and 18 mm; f/5, 2 s, 1 s, 1 s; ISO 3200. No tracking.
