This is a bumblebee. Very tough to get them them to pose for pics. lol They are about half the size of your thumb. They are very docile and you can get as close as want, without the worry of getting stung by one. Unless you intentionally try to piss them off. I've never been stung and I've always had the flowers they love, like wisteria. These are tall 5 ft. tall flowers that I forgot the name of.
They curl their bodies under when feasting. If I'm not mistaken, the yellow hairy looking stuff on them is the nectar they collect. OR, it's just how they always look. Whew! I'm done now. LOL😄
