Thia photo was taken from Seatac, Washington, the halfway point between Seattle and Tacoma. It was a rare clear night when these glowing noctilucent clouds appeared well before 4AM. I've lived here for 42 years and these are the first I have ever seen with my own eyes. It is a sight I'll never forget. I took both photos and video. Choosing which photo to show was very difficult, I wanted to best show the contrast of the ice blue horizon against the black sky, and this was my choice.
