A beautiful event soon after sunrise though struggling with a cohort of clouds that faithfully followed the Sun throughout the eclipse in the otherwise nearly cloudless sky. Eclipses are always exciting regardless of the details. This image shows maximum coverage of the solar disk for our geographical area.
Meade ETX 90 with Thousand Oaks Solar Filter, Canon 500 D, prime focus, 1/4 s, ISO 200.
The original RAW file (CR2) was saved to 16 bit TIF with ImageMagick and then compressed to 8 BIT JPG with Photoshop. No other post processing was carried out.
