Crescent Moon and Venus rising over the Tucson AZ foothills
In the eastern part of the US the Moon was in occultation with Venus. By Moonrise in Tucson the occultation was over by hours but the conjunction pairing still made a nice sight in the predawn sky.

This image was captured with a Williams react 51 mm telescope (250 mm FL) and 1.4 X Tamaron teleconverter on a Nikon D850.
