The bird is a member of the bird family Columbidae and commonly known as the rock pigeon, rock dove, or common pigeon. For any layman, it is just a pigeon. Found this pair resting atop on lamp post, as though there are no trees around. But having said that, they can be a nuisance and like many other birds, shit anywhere they like ! For that, I dont admire them and they are not as attractive as other bird species.
