We were camping in a side canyon of Leslie Gulch, a little-known spectacular area of far-eastern Oregon with wonderful rock formations of volcanic tuff. I awoke at 2 AM, the moon had set revealing Saturn, Jupiter and the Milky Way and I just had to grab a photo. My first serious effort at night sky photography with the help of my photo-literate friend Dr. Robert Sheley. Turned out OK.
