The Dark Horse rides the night sky among the dazzling fireflies, no longer harnessed to the old hay tedder.
This was shot in the field behind our house last night. With the moon rising after midnight now so we can see the Milky Way core rising, and fireflies nearing the peak of their bioluminescent mating frenzy, conditions are absolutely perfect for photographing my two favorite subjects together. I really don't want it to end!
