The significance of Lunar libration and angle of sunlight on observing the Moon.
There is approx 220km more real estate between the Sea of Crises and the East limb today than on May 26. Mare Marginis (Sea of the Edge) was not visible on May 26!
Also, note that the Sea of Crises is much less elongated (it's rounder) today.
The effect of sunlight angle (shadowing) on lunar features is staggering. Of course today is Full Moon. Sunlight is hitting the Lunar surface directly (0° angle).
