Volcanic sunsets
While those in the Northern Hemisphere have been enjoying heightened purple sunsets from two volcanoes: Ulawun in Papua New Guinea (July 2019), Raikoke in Russia Kurile Isles (June 2019) and Ambae in Vanuatu (July 2018), we have begun to see aerosol glows over Botswana over the last month — still researching f these are residual glows from the above volcanic aerosols or from fires in the Amazon. Will be interested to hear observations (or thoughts) from others, especially from those living in the Southern Hemisphere. Thanks.
