Venus and Mercury Setting 18-21 May
Here is a combination of four 6-image mosaics showing Venus and Mercury setting from the 18th until they paired on the 21st May. The two planets set a few minutes earlier each day as Mercury rose rapidly towards Venus and Venus moved a little lower in the evening sky. This caused the average brightness of each six frame group to increase. The presence of the sunset illuminated cloud band on the 18th was an unexpected bonus which added beauty to the scenes on that day. This composite is best viewed full screen and enlarged to reveal detail.

Photoshop Elements 15 - crop register and size reduce six images images taken on each of four days to produce a 24 image composite.
