The most transparent nights occur after a typhoon passes!
Up-close and personal with the Great Sagittarius Molecular Cloud.
For reference, Gamma Sgr is the star at the tip of the Teapot's spout.
"X" marks the Galactic Center. The entire Milky Way galaxy rotates around this spot. You won't notice that because it takes 240,000,000 years to complete one rotation. Give or take a few weeks.
The horizontal field of view in this image is 15°.
