The sky was perfect for a colorful sunrise and the added bonus was cold temperatures all to make for perfect conditions for a wonderful sun pillar. This one became visible about 5 minutes before this picture was taken and keep getting higher in the sky. It lasted until a few minutes after sunrise. I was able to shoot several large panoramas which really give a good perspective of the scale.

Exposure bracketing to capture the high contrast scene - bright sky and dark valley below.
Still needed to pull down highlights and add shadows. Added +20 vibrance and +3 saturation. Adjusted white balance to 6,600.
