At 6:45 AM the 100% full moon was only 0.8% above the horizon. When it's that low in the sky you notice atmospheric distortion which gives it a bit of an elliptical shape. Looking out over Nantahala National Forest from The Blue Ridge Parkway on a brisk and cold spring morning. The flower moon meets a lingering old man winter - 31 degrees and some snow on the ground from the evening before.

Adjusted white balance, highlights and shadows. Added some dehaze and vibrance with just a touch of saturation.
