I was fortunate enough to catch this waxing crescent moon just after the sun had set behind the western flanking Mt. San Jacinto (10,833') over Palm Springs, CA. As it was still before sunset, the sky provided a striking blue background.
Celestron NextStar 130 telescope using a 9mm viewfinder and shot on an iPhone 11.
No editing or filters used.
