The Metasoma (segmented tail) of the Scorpion.
The "False Comet" is framed by the mu Scorpii star pair to the north and the zeta Scorpii star pair to the south. This view is a treat thru any binoculars!
Unfortunately from mid-Northern latitudes, the tail if the Scorpion is very close to the horizon when it crosses the Meridian (it's highest point). But it's definitely worth checking out.
