The moon was kind enough to rise between the two peaks, which are a relatively short distance north of 13,000+ ft Truchas Peak. I had the camera set up and pointing on the Moonrise bearing I got from Photographer's Ephemeris web site. Fortunately this was our first cloud-free evening in quite a few days.
Tripod-mounted, Canon EOS5D Mk III, Tamron 150-600 mm at 150 mm, ISO 800, f/11, 1/400 sec, manual exposure, Auto Focus, shot in Camera RAW. Bottom image was taken at approx. 7:40 P.M., top image at approx. 7:41 P.M., MDT.
Photoshop Camera RAW conversion, various PS adjustments; nothing radical.
