The Town Dock in Salisbury, MA is my favorite vantage point for photographing the moon rising. There is a clear view of the East sky here but tonight, there was also a thick layer of clouds on the horizon, which made me think that I may not see the supermoon rise tonight. But I waited patiently and finally, there is was, slipping out from behind the clouds! As it rose in higher in the sky, it got brighter and brighter, casting a beautiful pink reflection in the Merrimack River. But I decided to share this first image because I love the dusty pink hue of tonight's supermoon.
