I was setting-up to photograph the Venus-Pleiades conjunction; since that took more effort than photographing the moon, I 'shot the moon' first. The image is at maximum telephoto for this amazing camera, and could even be used without a tripod. But I like having every advantage, so used the tripod. I shot aperture priority, automatic focus, and used the camera's 10-second shutter release timer to eliminate any shaking. The exposure speed was 1/500th.
