Looking across the Tees bay to the North Yorkshire Moors national park.the canon came from Sebastapol and was captured by the English and French during the Crimean war from the Russians.it was then part of the Russian empire,went on to become the Ukrainian sssr,then the USSR, then Ukraine and now Russia.... musical chairs!
