Conjunction of Moon and Venus
Clear sky and good visibility enabled Thursday’s conjunction of the the four day old Moon and Venus to be observed from first appearance at sunset to shining bright at last light. This was enhanced in this picture by a bright post-sunset Twilight Arch caused by either volcanic or forest fire generated stratospheric aerosols.
