Yosemite Valley is stunning under starlight. At first you look up into the mountains and see no detail, just blackness. Give yourself 30 minutes to let your eyes adjust, you will then notice faint details starting to appear in the shadows of the mountains. The camera can pick up lots of detail in low light conditions, so do not be afraid to shoot in the dark. The stars, and the lights from Yosemite Village are bright enough to help illuminate the mountains here over this longer exposures at Hi ISO's. Give it a try the next time you find yourself out in a dark sky location.
