Mars is continuing it's Eastward travel along the Ecliptic and is now almost as bright as Antares.
By Feb 17, Mars will reside between the Trifid and Lagoon nebulae in Sagittarius. On Feb 18, the Crescent Moon joins the party. As a matter of fact, the Moon will occult Mars before sunrise from a good part of the US. Check your Stellarium app to see how close the Moon comes to Mars from your location that morning! You don't want to miss that.
