The Horsehead Nebula in Orion's belt is one of the most beautiful areas of the winter sky. Sitting in an area known as "Barnard's Loop", there is dust and gas and stars abounding. There is so much going on in this photo that it becomes almost dream-like. The bright start on the left is zeta-orionis (Alnitak) and the diffraction spikes are mine!
