The Scorpion's Crown rises again, this time with Mars in tow.
Mars and Betelgeuse are actually now at the same magnitude (+1.5). Antares outshines both of them by 150% (1.5x). Of course you will never see Antares and Betelgeuse in the same sky!
The actual conjunction of Mars and Antares will be 2 days from now. But they will be almost 5° apart. Antares is 4.5° South of the Ecliptic. Mars is just North of the Ecliptic now.
