Is this alpenglow? I was on the port side of a a flight leaving DFW International Airport northbound when I saw this spectacular view of a brilliant “sunrise” except it is in the wrong direction. Being a novice, an internet search identified that this phenom is an “alpenglow.” I trust it is correct. As an extra interest, some aircraft lights can be seen in the upper right.
