Carolyn, Sharla Benjamin and I drove up past Deer Mountain along Fall River Road to watch for Quantrantid meteors. This photo was taken around 11:30PM just above Little Horseshoe Park in Rocky Mountain National Park. The Northeast perspective was new to us and challenging because it was directly opposite from our usual dark sky haunts. Wispy clouds intermittently obscured stars but added color to our nightscape timelapse (https://www.flickr.com/photos/125769551@N04/albums/72157712513728681). A smattering of quadrantids, some fairly bright, were seen in our 5 hour snow-packed stay (27F, 8524 FASL).
