Image was taken on 26 December 2019 in Singapore Central Business District. The "Ring of Fire" was visible along a path that is 73 miles wide covering Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam. It is different from total solar eclipse where the moon completely covers the sun. During annular solar eclipse, the moon is not close enough to the Earth to completely obscure the sun leaving a ring of bright sunlight surrounding the moon disk. The next annular solar eclipse that can be seen in Singapore will only occur in 2063.
