Annoyances like earthquakes and typhoons have put me in an Astronomical funk so I thought I would share an image from last year's Geminid shower. The almost-First Quarter Moon set at 11pm and it was non-stop meteors for the next 6 hours! It was difficult not to capture a meteor with a 30 second exposure.
This image is my favorite because it shows Gemini and my "Bees' Triangle", whose vertices are Procyon, Castor and M44. No Geminids for me this year ?
