A super wide-field view of the constellation of 'Orion the Hunter'. As you can see, this area of the sky is rich in star population and is known as the 'Orion Arm' of the Milky Way galaxy. It is also rich is nebulosity containing the famed Orion, Horsehead, and Rosette nebulae.

The star 'Betelgeuse' is a red giant and is one of the largest stars in the galaxy over 700 times bigger than our sun and if it was in the place of our sun, its diameter will go out beyond the orbit of Mars!

The star 'Rigel' is a super blue giant, about 70 times larger than the Sun and about 3 times hotter.

This is a 42-minute exposure. I used a Canon 18mm lens attached to the Altair Hypercam 294c ProTEC camera attached on the Celestron AVX mount for tracking. I used NINA capture program to capture the images by programing it to start capturing it after it cleared the trees around 1 am, while I was fast asleep for the night.
