A commercial aircraft passing thru Canis Major.
Much more colorful than your garden variety artificial satellite.
You can see the red and green navigation lights, the 5 strobe lights and the red rotating beacon light. I waited for it to pass by the fine open cluster M41 so as not to obscure it.
The aircraft is travelling from west to east (right to left). The red light is on the port (left) wing. I think it's headed for Australia. Of course Sirius is the brightst star.
