Autumn mornings in the jungle are warm, but not torrid. Nor did I find any Taurids.
Meteor 2-1 rocket body was launched by Russia in 2017. It's payload was a $45M meteorological satellite that failed to separate from the upper stage and subsequently de-orbited and crashed in the Siberian tundra. I don't make this stuff up!
The sky between Sirius and the Pleiades is arguably the finest 60° field of view in the Heavens.
But no Taurids this morning.
