Daytime Astronomy.
At 29% phase, the Daytime Moon is an easy target; even thru clouds.
A new active area just emerged on the Sun's SE limb today. The "hot spot" can be seen thru H-alpha, but I cannot detect a sunspot using a white light filter.
On Nov11, you lucky dogs with solar scopes living in the Western Hemisphere will see a very special "sunspot"; Mercury crossing the Sun's disc! I've witnessed 2 of Mercury's transits in my short time on Earth. It's very cool!
