From my location the Moon occulted 3rd magnitude eta Gemini (Tejat Prior) tonight.
Eta Gem is just emerging from the Moon's southern limb.
Eta Gem is a cool (3500°C) red giant that shows a dimmer companion at high magnification.
Eta Gem is one of the stars that comprise Gemini Twin Castor's northern leg.
