Uranus is very easy to find this year. It's at the same Right Ascension as Alpha Ari (Hamal). Meaning, when Hamal crosses the Meridian (around midnight local time now), it will be 10° directly South (below it). Easy binocular target!
The concentric ring around the Moon is not atmospheric phenomenon. It's a lens aberration from placing the Moon in the corner of the view at full open aperture. Sometimes you use lens aberrations to your advantage. I also waited for those clouds to appear. Otherwise, this would be a very boring picture. ?
