That morning reserved to me something special... I had the luck to catch a rare purple rainbow. The sky was completely cloud except a little portion of the NE/NNE horizon. The first rays of the sun began to illuminate the landscape and a near little rain shower with a bloody light. After two minutes a purple faint rainbow began to appear and it rapidly became brighter in according to the crescent brightness of the sun rays. The spiegation of this optic effect is simple. The first or last rays of the sun always are red, so if they combine with the water droplets, the result will be a red bow that lose most of his colours (yellow, green and blue) while red is accentuated and the purple will be warmer.
