First Lightning
A rapid increase in temperature and humidity on Tuesday morning was followed at lunch-time by the development of the first cumulus clouds of the approaching rainy season over the Bvumba and Cecil Kop. These produced scattered rain, hail and some rumbles of thunder. Decided to take a video from behind my house and captured a distant flash of lightning behind a Musasa tree in my back garden. Thundery outbreaks are quite common in October but it is usually difficult to see the accompanying lightning in bright sunshine.
