While walking a trail at Lake Georgetown, a suspended dark blob caught my eyes. Circling the object revealed the web-ensnared yellow plumage of a small dead bird with a Yellow Garden Spider clinging to its heart cavity! Amazing! One wonders the backstory to this scene....
Strolling by an hour later, the Spider was stretched out above its quarry, in the second submitted photo. The following day, the Spider was perched in its web above the withered bird on the ground.
