Haze from the forest fires in nearby Sumatra are affecting sky transparency. But that provides excellent "seeing". Only the brighter stars appear, but they are well defined and sharp! You can easily see the Teapot pouring out it's contents (just below the Saturn label). The camera is detecting the Milky Way in this long exposure, but I cannot see it with the naked eye. This is a great night for high magnification viewing of the Moon and planets, splitting double stars and drinking tasty alcoholic beverages. Not so great for deep sky observing! Did you know that consuming alcohol hinders your night vision by constricting your pupils? That's why I take so many photos.
I let the camera do the seeing for me when I am inebriated.
