I'm not a gardener and I changed my major from Biology to Physics because I hated Botany. But I love checking out the cool stuff in the Observatory Garden that I did not plant!
This is a Purple False Eranthemum, native to the Pacific Islands.
The scientific name is
Pseuderanthemum carruthersii.
