I took the picture as the clouds indicated an approaching low and this day was the first fine day following torrential rain and thunderstorms, I uploaded it to facebook and then saw the white dot in the middle of the longest cloud. When I enlarged the photo on the computer it showed an object reflecting the sun and shining like a large torch. We have assumed this is a sattelite but wonder if it can be definitley identified. I could not see the object wth the naked eye.
