At a decination of -42°, C76 is not easily viewed from mid-Northern latitudes such as Piscataway, N. J. It's near the Scorpion's Tail (C76, not Piscataway!). But if you find yourself in more southerly latitudes (e. g. Houston, Tx) you have a good opportunity to observe it right after sunset. It really is a sight to behold thru binoculars. The cluster itself is tiny, but it resides in a fascinating starfield. Check it out!
