The motivation for capturing Lunar images is the desire to create my very own Moon map. As I am not one to abide by convention, I will choose the names for Lunar features. And no Latin.
Sea of Rains becomes Sea of Love.
Sea of Serenity becomes Sea of Narcissism.
Sea of Tranquility will be the Sea of Bipolar Disorder.
And no ancient Greek or 15th Century astonomers.
The craters will be named after 20th Century Pop Musicians.
Of course Copernicus will be Elvis.
Tyco will become Meatloaf.
There will be no Barry Manilow crater!
Hopefully Dr. Ski's Moon Map will be available in the EarthSky store soon.
Or maybe not.
