Clouds obscured the moon rising over the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park Sunday evening. The clouds cleared, however, as the moon rose higher in the sky. I found a country road near Dayton, VA, where the moon would rise over a field of cornstalks, which were already six-feet high. The road was lower than the rolling field, which gave me the opportunity for this shot.
