I've been trying to get the young moon for a while and the Weather Channel said it was clear at Wilkerson Pass so I headed out. When I got to the pass, however, there was a low cloud and shower directly overhead. I could see some clear sky in the distance, however, so I kept going. After the sun had set I finally saw the young moon at about 10 o'clock and started to look for somewhere to pull over to get a shot. It took a while but I finally arrived in the little town of Hartsel and managed to find a dirt road by a ranch where I could pull over and enjoyed watching the young moon slowly setting behind a little wooded hill.
