Beautiful views around the Southern Cross. Lambda Centauri is at the same declination as Alpha Crux (-63°) and 6° West.
Beta Crux has a 9th magnitude Carbon star companion (not a true binary companion) that the camera is able to detect! This star is very difficult to see telescopically because Beta Crux is 1500X brighter!
