I just realized tonight that observing Omega Centauri thru binoculars is like observing the Great Hercules Cluster thru a 10 in reflector! I wish I had my 10in Dob here! But the shipping and customs/duty fees were much higher than the cost of the scope! Bummer.
Omega Centauri now reaches it's highest point in the sky at 9pm Local time. Last opportunity for you kids living south of 30°N to get a good view of this glob of stars. I think that's why they're called Globular Clusters. Because they are globs of stars. I could be mistaken.
