This is a new one on me. I unfortunately only had my cell phone and not my good Nikon. I have seen these "sun spokes" before as a setting or rising sun hits gaps in clouds to produce them. Sun was setting in the west about 8p. BUT - these were opposite the setting sun and the photo is taken due east. I was out in the country - no city glow or anything like that. There was nothing in the west and the west view was 100% cloudy. The sky brightness is accurate for the photo time. I'm assuming they are atmospheric with an explanation.
